Claverley Flat Rogaine - Saturday, 16 March 2024 

The Canterbury Rogaine Series are working with the Christchurch Boys High IV Rugby team to host a rogaine event at Claverley Flat.  The course will cover an area never used for rogaining before and is an excelent stepping stone to the Kaikoura Adventure Race in April this year. 2, 4 & 6 hour courses are offerred - so there are options for everyone!

Provisional Event Programme (Saturday, 16 March 2024)

  • 9:00am – Registration Opens (2, 4 & 6 hour)
    • Safety Briefing
    • Team Changes/Payments/Race Waiver.
    • Map hand out.
  • Between 10.00am - 11:00am – 6Hr Teams Start (flexible start time)
  • Between 10.00am - 1:00pm – 4Hr Teams Start (flexible start time)
  • Between 10.00am - 3:00pm – 2Hr Teams Start (flexible start time)

Entry Fees:

Standard Entries (up to 1-week before the event): 
  • Adult 6hr/4hr – $80 per person
  • Students 6hr/4hr – $60 per person
  • Adult 2hr – $30 per person
  • Student 2hr – $20 per person
Late Entries (entries on the week of the event):
  • Adult 6hr/4hr – $90 per person
  • Students 6hr/4hr – $70 per person
  • Adult 2hr – $35 per person
  • Student 2hr – $25 per person
Under 12s are free, but must include at least one adult aged over 18
 

Toilets - Toilet facilities will be available at the event center.

Directions

The event HQ is based at Wenlock Farm, located at 639 Claverley Road. It is just across the railway line from the baches, at Claverley settlement.

From Christchurch it is a 2-hour drive north on State Highway 1, then turn right onto Claverley Road at the Hunderlee rail overpass.

From Kaikoura it is a 40 minute drive south, then turn left onto Claverley Road at the Hunderlee rail overpass.

Recommended Gear

We recommend that participants are prepared for all extremes. At minimum the following gear is required:

  • Polypro or equivalent top
  • Hat
  • Jacket
  • Whistle
  • Pen or pencil as back up
  • Cellphone

Water - There will be limited drinking water on course. We recommend teams carry enough for 2-3 hours between water stops.

Volunteers - If not competing but keen to be involved please let us know - we're always keen to accept offers of help! Let us know via email info (at) Canterburyrogaine.com if you or family members are available to help out.
